On behalf of the priests, deacons, religious, and lay faithful of the Diocese of Fort Worth, I would like to congratulate Bishop Kevin Farrell on his appointment by Pope Francis to serve as the head of the new Vatican Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life. I would ask all of us to pray for Bishop Farrell as he leaves North Texas and begins this new and very important ministry on behalf of the Universal Church. I would also ask that we pray for the Catholics in the Diocese of Dallas as they move through transition in pastoral leadership during these next several months.
