Nolan sophomore Antonio Coffee achieves Eagle Scout

Antonio CoffeeAntonio Coffee was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at his Eagle Board of Review on June 11. Antonio is a member of Troop 434 chartered by St. John the Apostle Catholic Church where he and his family are parishioners. Antonio began his scouting career in 2003, has held leadership roles as Historian; Chaplain Aide; Patrol Leader; and is currently serving as Assist Senior Patrol Leader for the troop. He completed his Eagle Scout rank with 31 merit badges, 12 that are Eagle required. Antonio also earned the Ad Altare Dei Religious Scout Award earlier this year. 
 
Antonio's Eagle Project was to renovate the playground equipment and basketball courts located by the parking lot in front of  St.John Catholic School. The playground equipment was sanded and repainted; the boundary lines on the basketball court were reprinted; and new nets were hung on each basketball hoop. The project was completed over a two day period with the help of more than 30 volunteers from Troop 434, the St. John’s Knights, family, and friends.
