FORT WORTH — With more than 50 St. Peter the Apostle parishioners in attendance, Bishop Michael Olson and Pastor Father Pedro Martinez kicked off construction of a long-awaited narthex addition and other improvements with a groundbreaking ceremony on January 21, 2023.
The building project, called “Doorway to the Sacred,” will bring much needed indoor space for parishioners. In addition to a new, larger narthex, the addition will include relocation of the choir space, reconfiguration of the sanctuary to make additional seating, relocation of the restrooms, remodeling of the altar, and the construction of the bell tower on the south side of the church.
