As Benjamin Grothouse prepares for his ordination to the priesthood on May 18 in Fort Worth’s St. Patrick Cathedral, the 28-year-old stays focused on one objective: to be an example of Jesus Christ to every person he meets.
FORT WORTH — The morning of April 25, the St. Patrick Cathedral sanctuary quietly hummed with youthful hope, excitement, and fellowship. Bishop Michael Olson opened the annual Eighth Grade Vocations Mass, warmly welcoming the hundreds of students filling the pews, dressed in their diocesan Catholic school uniforms, to the heart of the Diocese of Fort Worth.
By the time I was 30, I think I had prayed a full Rosary maybe 10 times.
